Death celebration is one of the traditional processions that must be carried out in the community. The obligation to carry out the death celebration is because this celebration is included in the customs entrenched in several regions that are still thick with customs. Adat is a rule of life that although not promulgated by the ruler, is herniated and obeyed by the people with the belief that these rules apply as a law, meaning that as one of the customs in various regions, such as in Batu Ke'de Village, Enrekang Regency. The community is obliged to celebrate the celebration. This is because custom is a regulation that must be respected and obeyed by the community as a guideline for acting and behaving.

The Role of Parents in Providing Islamic Education to Children in the Golden Age in Lok Tuan, Bontang City

This research aims to determine the real conditions of the Lok Tuan community, supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as alternative solutions used by parents in providing Islamic education to children during the golden age. This type of research is qualitative research and the location of this research is in Lok Tua Village, North Bontang District, Bontang City, using guidance and psychological approaches. The data in this research comes +-+from primary and secondary data, while data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation methods. PERSPECTIVE OF THE BONTOA SUB-DISTRICT KUA ON THE SOCIAL IMPACT OF UNDERAGE MARRIAGE AND ONLINE GAMBLING ON SCHOOL CHILDREN

Underage marriage has an impact on children's education, both how they manage their schooling and how they have the opportunity to develop academically. Nonetheless, online gambling has become one of the causes of concentration disorders, decreased learning achievement, and deviant behavior of children at school. To explain this phenomenon in depth, this study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews with community members, educators, community leaders, and people in the KUA of Bontoa sub-district. The results show that this second problem significantly affects children's social and educational development. Marriage and an increase in the number of children cause structural poverty, while online gambling and dependency disrupt the learning process. The KUA of the Bontoa sub-district plays an important role in providing assessment and education to the community. This is done to prevent and assist. This research is expected to help local policies deal with this social problem. THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION

The purpose of this research is to explore the role of technology in improving the quality of education through accessibility, learning methods, and learner competency development. This research is rooted in the rapid development of technology, which has a significant impact on education, but also presents challenges such as the digital divide and infrastructure limitations. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. Data was obtained from scientific journals, books, official reports and relevant articles. The analysis was conducted to identify patterns and concepts related to the influence of technology in education. The results show that technology improves the accessibility of education through online learning and the use of multimedia. Technology also supports artificial intelligence (AI)-based interactive and personalized learning methods. However, there are obstacles such as the digital divide and lack of digital skills training for teachers and students. Technology is a potential education transformation tool, but it requires collaboration between governments, educational institutions and the private sector to overcome the challenges. With an inclusive and integrated approach, technology can support a more equitable and innovative education system.

KAJIAN PREFERENSI ORANG TUA DI DESA MASALLE TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN FORMAL DI SEKOLAH UMUM DIBANDING PESANTREN

Formal education in public schools is preferred by parents in Masalle Village as a means of education for their children. Public school education offers a broader education that focuses on an academic curriculum designed to equip children with real knowledge and skills in various fields, but religious education in public schools is very limited compared to Islamic boarding schools. Alumni of pesantren generally show better character and manners than public school graduates.
This study aims to examine parents' preferences in Masalle village in choosing formal education in public schools over pesantren. The main focus of this research is to understand the factors that influence parents' decisions in determining the type of education considered most suitable for their children. The research approach used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation.
The results show that parents' preferences are influenced by several factors, including parents' educational background, family economic conditions, accessibility of education, and their views on the quality of religious and academic education. Most parents who choose public schools consider the academic curriculum to be superior and the wider career opportunities in the future. Meanwhile, parents who chose pesantren emphasized the importance of religious education as a moral foundation for their children.

PENGARUH PERHATIAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN PENDIDIKAN DAN AKHLAK ANAK DI DUSUN TONTONAN, KELURAHAN TANETE

Education is the process of developing one's knowledge or self-potential through existing levels of education, as well as through learning provided and even training. Education can be carried out by families, communities, and governments, both at school and outside of school. Meanwhile, morality is a teaching that contains the development of morals and human behavior and manners. This study aims to find out how parents affect the daily education and morals of children in Tanete Village Spectacle Hamlet, with the background that the people of Tanete Village Spectacle Hamlet are farmers who need every day spent in the garden to make money. Thus, early childhood becomes a victim of a lack of parental attention in daily life, so that no one controls their daily life and has an impact on early childhood morale. The conclusion of this study is that parents' attention to early childhood in Tontonan Hamlet, Tanete Village, is not what is prioritized by the residents there, but what is prioritized is the economic results and livelihood of the local community, so that early childhood only gets attention at school. There are not many parents who entrust their children to Islamic boarding schools with the aim of getting more attention there, where parents are more free to earn a living and carry out their habits in the hamlet of spectacle, Tanete village.

Elections and Political Polarisation: The Challenges of Building Community Harmony in Tongko Village, Baroko Subdistrict after the 2024 Enrekang Regency Regent Election is an interesting issue that is increasingly being discussed by the Tongko village community. It becomes a separate question in the midst of the Tongko village community regarding the challenges of building harmonisation after the election was held. Researchers deliberately chose to examine this issue with the aim of finding out what is the root of the problem why the Regent election in Enrekang Regency this year is very heated, in addition researchers also want to know more deeply what the impact of political polarisation is and how to deal with it after the election takes place. The research method used in this research is research with a qualitative approach. The results of this study found that the root cause of why this year's regent election was so heated was because there were two pairs of candidates who were close relatives. The effects and impacts of political polarisation can create social fragmentation, disrupt daily life, decrease community credibility and have an impact on government. Therefore, among the efforts to rebuild community harmony is to instill and implement the values of Pancasila, instill and implement the harmonious values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, instill religious values, build dialogue spaces, parties and leaders who play an active role.
